This page is to inform you of our policies regarding the scheduling, adjustment, and cancellation of lessons. 

Student Cancellation/Make-up Policy

Fees are not reduced/refunded/credited for missed or cancelled lessons.  Students or Parents should notify the teacher as soon as possible. If a cancellation is required, in order to be eligible for a makeup lesson, students/parents must notify teacher with a minimum 24 hour advance notice. When there is an opening in the teacher’s schedule, a makeup lesson will be scheduled. For less than 24 hour notice, a makeup lesson cannot be guaranteed, and availability is solely at teacher’s discretion. Missed/cancelled lessons for which no desirable makeup lesson can be found are automatically forfeited. Committing to a regular schedule of lessons helps the student progress well and ensures that I can provide a consistent, high-quality experience.

Lesson Scheduling 

I offer lessons through the school year from Tuesday, Sept.2nd – Thursday, June 30th. 

During this timeframe, there are 3 weeks off built in:

• 2 for winter break (December 22nd – January 6th)

• 1 for spring break (March 16th – 20th). 

In the months of July and August 2026, lessons are optional (i.e., if summer boredom is hitting hard, then absolutely come for lessons! But if not, then enjoy your vacation off!).  During summer, lessons will be scheduled and billed individually at the rate of $45 per 30 minute session. 

PA Days/Statutory Holidays

Lessons operate as usual on PA days. There will be no lessons on statutory holidays.  

Punctuality

Please be on time for lessons.  An extension of time for lateness cannot always be granted for those who are late.
